Week 1:

Movement Masterclass

Ever wonder why it’s so difficult for people to move through traumas? Everyone has got their “stuff.” Addressing it and making headway in your recovery can be easier than you think!

In this master class, we’re going to explore the nervous system basics for understanding trauma and how it changes us as well as experience a movement-focused class that incorporates techniques for moving through trauma with grace and efficacy.

Week 2:

User’s Guide to Healing the Nervous System

Traumas don’t come in a one-size-fits-all package. However, while they were all unique, there are certain things that are universal: everyone experiences traumas,
everyone can heal their traumas and everyone needs to rehab their nervous systems to do so.

The practice of yoga gives us a unique platform for healing because it addresses the body and mind holistically. In this class, we will focus on learning the nervous system and what causes us to shift on a deep, meaningful level so that we can create the most useful interventions — ones that we will actually use because they give acknowledgement to our unique preferences as well as meet us where we are, offering us the “next right step” on our path to integrations.

Week 3:

Deep Dive into the Shadow

Trauma recovery requires a two prong approach in order for the healing to take route. In this portion of our transcending trauma series, we will be looking at ways to “see ourselves.“ As the great psychologist, Carl Jung once said, “until you make the unconscious conscious, it’ll continue to direct your life and you will call it fate.“

Being able to see our shadows is vital to our development as human beings and as spiritual beings. It is by doing this work that we come to experience our own wholeness — or, our holiness. There are lots of wonderful qualities that are hidden and all of our shadows, which, simply put, are just the places and spaces that are more difficult to see because the qualities housed in them weren’t prioritized or valued within our immediate social circles in our youth.

Together we will take part in a series of games and practices that help us not only to see our shadow, but to play with it and enjoy having it around!
